GitLab now enforces expiry dates on tokens that originally had no set expiration date. Those tokens were given an expiration date of one year later. Please review your personal access tokens, project access tokens, and group access tokens to ensure you are aware of upcoming expirations. One major reason why the pbf-splitter fails sometimes seems to be the exchange of the pbf file underneath, while the splitter is working.

This seems no problem using the osm-c-tools.

Let's use the splitter after the pbf is already cut, to avoid this problem, thus using a local temporary pbf file.
